(Monday, June 28, 2010)
The Swindon Panthers travelled to peterborough this weekend and dispite leading by 3 goals half way through the 2nd period managed to let a resilient eagles squad push them all the way to the final buzzer. The Eagle drew level with the Panthers twice at 4-4 and 5-5 before #2 Dan King nicked the game winner just 2 minutes from time. A win is a win but im sure Coach O'Donavan would rather get a win the easy way.

The long awaited rematch between the Swindon Panthers and the Solihull Wolves took place on sunday at the link centre in what can only be described as a physical affair. Swindon came out of the traps early and found the net 5 times before the visitors got their 1 and only reply. The wolves were up to their old tricks again spending more time in the penalty box than playing 5 on 5 hockey and Swindon punished them 4 times on the PP for their troubles. Next up is another challenge match against the Invicta Knights.

The Hurricanes did also find the net a couple more times beating rookie netminder Ross Webster for a total of 3 goals, but it was a ggod performance by the side and another 1 in the win column.

The home side settled in to their stride then netting twice before the first break and sitting comfortable at 3-1. Another quick goal from #18 MacCabe saw Swindon definately on their way but again Swindon let the Eagles back into the match with a Pair of away goals bringing the score to 4-3. Just 20 seconds into the third period and the Eagles equalised putting all the pressure back on the home side but with just 7 minutes remaining in the game Swindon fired home 2 quick goals of their own with the go ahead goal from #45 Widawski.
